Structural Designer

Location: Company Headquarters is in San Antonio, Texas (Garden Ridge Area), but this position is flexible to Work From Home depending on skill and experience levels.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Structural Designer to support our engineering team in developing accurate, high-quality structural drawings and models. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning engineering concepts into clear, buildable plans and working collaboratively across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and revise structural drawings, plans, and 3D models for a variety of projects
• Assist engineers with design development, calculations, and documentation
• Prepare construction documents, including plans, sections, and details
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information)
• Maintain organized project files and documentation

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in structural drafting/design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other design software
• Understanding of structural systems, materials, and construction methods
• Familiarity with building codes and industry standards
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on commercial or industrial projects
• Knowledge of BIM processes and workflows
• Ability to interpret engineering calculations and sketches
