The construction of the custom steel staircase was off in elevation by a few inches. SEI was tasked with analyzing if the steel structure could withstand the stresses induced by jacking the staircase up to the right elevation. We performed a finite element analysis using RISA-3D and verified that the structure could handle this amount of movement safely.
